The Cast
Danielle LaRauf, Bride
A Minnesota native, Danielle moved to NYC where she honed her skills and graduated from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Fordham University. She has since performed in various theater and film projects both nationally and internationally, as a dancer, singer, and actress. Such venues include: BAM, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Apollo Theater, Broadway Bares (Directed by Jerry Mitchell), The United Palace Theater in ‘Step in Time’ featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Netflix’s ‘The Umbrella Academy.’ Most recently you can find Danielle in an upcoming episode of ‘The Afterparty’ (Apple TV+).
Beyond performing, Danielle enjoys surfing, hiking, traveling, and creating. Her passion for storytelling led her to co-write, co-produce, and act in her own short film ‘Meet You Half Way,’ which received a Platinum Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival. Danielle is thrilled and honored to be a part of ‘The Not,’ and can’t wait to share this beautiful film with the world.
Jose Infante, Groom
Jose Infante was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated with a Visual Communications Degree in the year of 2003. After working as a freelancer with multiple commercial studios for 6 years, Jose relocated to New York City at the end of 2009 to pursue his passion for fashion photography. Within the year of 2010, his pursuit was redirected with his true calling to become a professional actor. The Big Apple reinvigorated his love for acting and film since he was 5 years of age.
He decided to leave New York City early 2011 back to Cleveland, Ohio and took a creative hiatus. In late 2013, Jose discovered an acting school (Houde School of Acting) and trained under his teacher, Jessica Houde-Morris until mid 2015. And in the summer of 2015, he moved to Los Angeles, California in pursuit of his acting future. Presently residing in LA, Mr. Infante is working as an actor (producer, filmmaker, etc.) - full time.
Brad Bishop, Best Man
Brad is an improv comedian who trained at Upright Citizens Brigade where he was accepted into their advanced and academy programs. He has completed the trifecta of creature acting playing a zombie, an alien, and bigfoot. The latter was for the movie Big Bad which won Best Feature Film at the Utah Film Awards. Brad has also lent his voice to radio commercials and documentaries. Brad is excited to be a part of The Not and was grateful to work with such talented cast and crew.
Brenna Dixon, Maid of Honor
Coming from the small town of Zillah, WA, Brenna Dixon never considered acting as something she should do. She has had a love for singing since she was a child, performing in school choirs and worship teams. When attending college and exploring different options for electives, she decided to take an acting class, that’s where this new passion bloomed. When she’s not creating, she enjoys being an introverted homebody. Brenna is currently pursuing a teaching degree in WA State, as the most influential people in her life have been teachers.
THE FILMMAKERS
Courtney Hoskins, writer/director
Courtney originally hails from Boulder, Colorado, where she studied film and collaborated with experimental filmmaker Stan Brakhage. Her experimental films and shorts have screened around the world, including at The Toronto International Film Festival, The New York Film Festival, Ann Arbor, BFI London, and the Independent Film Channel. Her short, "Slusho Zoom!! With Robots," won a grand prize award in Bad Robot's Cloverfield tie-in contest. Her first screenplay, Stealing First, was selected as a semi-finalist in the Slamdance Screenplay Competition.
Courtney is drawn to narrative works that employ fantastical elements to tell deeply human stories. Her experimental film background has given her a solid base for doing more with less. Employing macrophotography and optics techniques, she created colorful fantasy worlds called "technofossil films" by filming bits of discarded plastic with borrowed film equipment and 16mm ends from film labs.
